Each element in Chinese Medicine has a corresponding season and bodily Organ. Spring & the Wood Element correspond to The Liver, responsible for the smooth flow of energy, blood and the emotions.  When our Liver isn't functioning optimally we experience 'stagnation' symptoms.  Physically we may experience tension headaches, stiffness or tightness in muscles or joints, PMS symptoms or digestive issues.  Mentally and emotionally we may become stuck, making us feel stressed or tense.
